I caught this nice 20-pounder in T-Bay 2 weeks ago. went this past weekend, but it was dead slow.  will be back again soon, trying a few other bays as well, as soon as we get a little rain.

Fished the Siletz on Monday and Tuesday.  One Jack and one hook up of a hog.  Got it to the kayak and line broke.  I jumped in the river to grab it and try to throw it on the kayak.  No luck.  One of the best fishing experiences I've had though.  Siletz is picking up.  Should b e real good after the Friday rains.

That's a nice Tillamook nook!  Was that caught at the ghost hole?  I haven't ever fished that area - so you launch from hockinson point or pedal over from the marina?

Good info on the Siletz! Wish you would have caught that salmon. What were you fishing with to catch the big one?

I'm hoping to get out next week!

I did catch it in the ghost hole, close to the floating porta-potty.  Had hooked, and landed a native coho 5 minutes before, put on fresh herring, and boom, that nook took it down.  I just put in at the marina, and pedal over, usually dropping some crab pots off in front of the coast guard shack along the way.

I've never fished the Siletz, would love to figure out or go with anyone.  i don't know where to put in, or what part of the river is good for kayaking?

Coyote Rock and Chinook Bend are both good places to launch a kayak on the siletz. Both charge a fee.  There's a tiny pullout on the roadside about a mile from the 101 turnoff onto siletz highway. free for 1 or two cars, but the bank is a bit steep and shore is kinda muddy, but still "free".

Fished Siletz from a power boat today.  It was amazing to see this river so devoid of fish in early October  :-\.  Only saw two fish roll all morning, and they both looked like coho.  We saw a few hookups, at least two Chinook landed with one at Kernville on a Pro Troll/spinner setup, and the second landed on a bobber rig upstream of the county ramp.  The most exciting part of the morning was watching several boats chase a salmon trailing a Pro Troll flasher: the salmon was cruising a few feet beneath the surface, and several people tried in vain to cast their troll gear at it to try and snag the leader.

As for our action: we landed two coho jacks pulling cut-plug herring.  Most boats had nothing.

Looking forward to forgetting this year's fall Chinook season and preparing for the lake coho fishery.

Fished the Clackamas from a drift boat today. Had to work REALLY HARD to scrap together 1 hatchery coho buck and 1 wild coho jack. Both out of the same hole. Overall slow and wet day.

Fished Tillamook bay yesterday. Super slow and super wet day. Only saw 1 chinook caught. Not going back there anytime soon.

Got lucky on the Siletz today on a friend's power boat.  One bite and one chinook in the bag.  ~15lb male bright with sea lice, but with front teeth like a chum - wicked.

Nice job Barb!  The males always cook up the best, even when they're starting to kype out and color up.  More fat than the females.  What did he bite?

360 Pro-Troll with a coast guard (red/white) 3.5 spinner.  Caught an hour before high slack.  Look at these teeth:

Only surf12foot.  I don't let him count catching a crab against being skunked for the day.  He claims they're shellfish, I claim they're sea-spiders, and spiders don't count.   >:D

And P.S.  Nice job Ms. 2fish!  (I almost forgot that part!)
