Did some roadside recon in Seward yesterday, looked like a school of pinks was in closer than Miller Landing, no Silvers seen. Several powerboats were trolling, but I did not see any fish picked up. One yaker caught a pink while we cheered him on. A camper at the lot next to the big waterfall and sea life center said he had not seen any silvers caught yet.
 That is all.

Took the family out in the powerboat this weekend and had a productive time trolling for silvers at Miller's. There were a couple of kayak fishers out there. We talked with one and he was not having any success with the silvers. We tossed him a deep six diver to see if that would help getting him down in the action. We put 20 in the boat on Saturday with several weighing in the low teens.

Did the diver help you get down to the fish?

Those are some great looking fish. I am debating between whiskey gulch and seward for this upcoming weekend.

Thats my buddy mark. He said he had to take it off. The diver didn't help him in the paddle yak. To much drag he said. Put the trolling weight back on and did well. He caught these really early sunday morning. The bite turned completely off once I got there and it got rough. I was using my downrigger and hooked a few this morning when it was nice. When it was flat and calmed I marked lots of fish. When the wind came in no fish at all marked.
