Those look more like ribs than rocks.

  Trident---you need a bigger screen ?

She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

Didn't feel like walking on rocks so I took the kayak. Had friends fishing on the jetty who had more of a mixed bag of lings, cabs, blacks. I couldn't get out of the blacks I hooked over 20. It was a nice break from the resident coho I've been fishing on all winter.

Fish hard.

Nice haul. I usually fish the Ocean Shores side. Do you launch by the old Coast Guard lookout tower?

The bay near the parking lot. Where do you launch in Ocean Shores?

I launch a little north of the marina and bird sanctuary and paddle parallel of the small jetty. When the tides low I fish the inside and as the tide rises there's a few chutes you can paddle through to the other side of my he jetty.

Good reference with the Loony Tunes pic, Lol!  thought it would show in the quote. I've fished the small remnants of the jetty on the ocean shores side once but it was later in the summer and I hadn't timed the tide very well. No takers that day but is there any other decent launching points nearer to ocean shores without going the entire way around to Westport? I've scanned the coastline and even tried launching once at ocean shores (don't ask) but it's a little unclear as to if the beaches you can get to are public or tribal lands.
They might sound ill advised, but when I tell folks of my exploits, it's rare I don't find them smiling

Didn't mean to offend you Trident13. I've been told that I'm a little blunt sometimes.

Here is an old thread that you might be interested to read   http://www.northwestkayakanglers.com/index.php?topic=7348.75
It's mostly about fishing the Ocean Shores jetty (one of my favorite places). There is a lot of reading 6 pages) but there is a good map and some good intel on that fishery. Have fun with it. Fishing should be primo out there now.

No worries at all, I really appreciate the info.  When something is of interest I don't always take the time to notice the gorilla (pedals) in the pictures only to see them after.
I'm still hoping to complete my wish list with a monkey faced eel, so any jetty info is always interesting.  I'm looking forward to reading the threads you pointed toward this evening.
