Hi guys,
My name is Andy Kaminski.
I’m from NorCal and several  months ago I bought a place on Sequim Bay as a second home with the plan of retiring there in 3years.
I’m more of a kayak diver than a kayak fisherman but I do dig fishing a lot and will be doing more of it.
I have owned my trident 13 for a few years and really like it.
I’m looking forward to getting a couple more for the family.
I also have a 21’ boat I use for sturgeon.
I am really looking forward to the PNW life style.
Nothing overly fancy about me.
I weld  pipe for a living.
Love guns and all sorts of mechanical stuff.
Ride a Ducati,Harley and have a small collection of cool bikes and motorized bicycles.
I’m looking to make new friends up here that might share some of my interests.
Thank you.
Andy

Welcome,
I drive past your area quite a bit on my way to the Straights or the coast for fishing.  Great area.  Sometimes I wonder just how dry that 'rain shadow' is though...always seems to be drizzling when I pass by.

Hey Andy,

There's some great salmon fishing  in your backyard.  Mid Channel Bank (off Port Townsend) and Discovery Bay right next store.  Of course,  if you're a diver/fisherman,  you might want to do some research on the waters around Neah Bay.  I've seen a few divers out there.

Good luck,

I don't scuba now (health issues) but there is an active group over at https://nwdiveclub.com//index.php?, with a number of active divers in the Port Townsend area.  It's quite current-sensitive, so if you go you'll want local experience.  User "60south" lives there, in particular (https://nwdiveclub.com/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=780)...

And welcome!

Well hey,
Thanks for the welcome guys.
I appreciate it.
I do dive.
Maybe 1,100 -1,200  scuba dives, with GUE/DIR training,
but I absolutely fucking love free diving and underwater hunting.
Scuba...not so much
Yeah I know it’s odd.
Probably  have more free dives than scuba dives
But hey what can I say.

Moving up north for us really good thing for us.
37 years ago I married a Vancouver Island Girl and we have a ton of family there.
So I am digging the big family thing.
More about me I have an engineering license but can’t work in an office job.
Half my career was being an engineering contractor the other half was being a union welder fitter.
I like being a welder fitter better.
I scheduled myself to go to Sequim once every 6 or 8 weeks until I’m done.
Our spot has a mid bank spot.
I’m thinking about securing a couple cheap kayaks on the beach to have family fun and crabbing with and then using my better yak for good fishing
I do like the fresh water Bay Area so I’m gonna fish there
I also want the fish butts from the spit area and do shit like that.
I am down for hunting, fishing or diving if anyone wants to go
Thanks again .
Andy
