If the weather is good this coming weekend, Ill be heading out that way Thursday night till Sunday. My goal is to get a feel for the area and peddle around and catch a fish or 100 for photos.
Being new to the area of Seattle and not knowing to many people, I thought this might be a good idea.  It would also be a good idea if some of the newcomers to the sport would show up and ask questions to the old times that have been fishing the area so that there are fewer kayaking incidents this year and a few more friendships. Let's go fish and talk about halibut, lingcod, rock fish and whatever else you want.
Rules, no giving away secret spots, no beer on the reservation and if off the reservation I'll buy the first 100 bucks of beer.
If you see this van you are in the right area.
Also, would this lure be good for lingcod?

Hey man,

I live in the area and been out a few times this year. The forecast is looking pretty miserable for a boat let alone a kayak on your planned days. Sunday looks possible if things clear up. If I don't go on the boat Sunday your welcome to join me and my buddy for some kayak fishing. We prefer fishing out of la push though. It's a much better launch and the fishing is always easy.

Is LaPush a surf launch....or do you launch from the harbor?  I might give that a try this week if the launch is from the harbor.  My first surf launch...I'll wait until I have someone experienced with me.

BTW...how did the fishing go?  Something like this out of Sekiu when the kings are running would be fun too.  I'd be more than willing to sponsor beer and burgers/hotdogs etc.  Sort of take over the Caves.
