You guys crack me up.  I'm not only in, but as Mark suggested I may even try for bonus points. Lol.

But I will say with the little bit of the experience I've gained,  I am willing to bet that the conventional pound of lead and 16/0 circle hooks will not be the method of choice.   Oops...I've already said too much!

I don't think circle hooks on barbie poles would work out too well for anyone...just my 2 cents

Pretty small ones I think. Depends on the bait and whether I employ the catch as many as I can to get a big one or patiently wait for the one big one.

I'll like be modifying my salmon set up.

I am staring at some #36 tarred line plus researching the Prussik knot.  Might be a different challenge though.

Looks pretty awesome!  At first thought I thought your tip diuamter was a tad thin, btu I don't think its an issue at all.  In fact it gives me more ideas....always new things...never enough time to try!

I fiddled with the Prusik knot a while back trying to come up with an alternative to a dropper loop.  It actually works for mono on mono, but not so good with braid, as the braid I was using was too slick and would not grip well.   Keep in mind I was only playing with 20lb mono at the time, so your mileage may vary for heavier mono.

I do love the Prusik knot for tent and canopy anchor lines.  Freaking perfect!

All Right!  I am in.  Barring any major surprises on the home front I should be able to make the weekend and bring my little funky tent down, maybe a bit early to try to stack a few eaters in the cooler.

Now to pick my rod - hard choices I think.  This could be the biggest hurdle, fortunately I have time to do my research.

- The harpoon, way cool.   I need this thing to replace my garage McGyver special, which has some carbon steel parts that are not aging well.

I think I'll be there. I have had a Barbie pole in my truck for over a month now but did not want to try it until I broke the jinx, I have, so game on.

Uh...no...to the engraving. A resounding YES to the event.  The teacher rarely reveals all to the student....

Still looking at July 18 & 19 for this, I am in and all about entry fee. I think I can get some prizes as well.

Did we ever decide on an "entry fee" for the Barbie Classic?
And is there any interest in frying the winning fish? If so I will bring the potatoes and fryer.
