for the opener weekend of the chetco bubble, was  a bit rough but fishable untill someone turned on the fan, at which time crash, (doug) hooked up out past the whistler bouy, he had a great battle for 10 min when he landed a 24 pounder, then we headed for shore, intering the mouth of the jetty, ryan hooked a nice one, unfortuneatly i got skunked, that changed on sunday. ryan and i headed out bout 7;30, i trolled the harbor for a bit , had to go back to my truck cause i forgot my inhaler , on the way in i passed kieth, informed me that i was going the wrong way, on the way back out, i passed kieth again, he landed a hog, bout 45 minutes later, i hooked what at first i thought was a rock fish, didnt hit very hard, didnt fight much or seem to have any weight, then he put it into gear, and let me know i had a REAL fish on, after what seemed like a dozen circles, up an down the coast  a few times, i finanly got a glimps of it, man it was a beast, ryan did me a solid an let me use his net, my little one was a tad inadequate for this fish. my first chetco bubble was a total success, had a blast, thanks doug and ryan,

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.  --Mark Twain
