Now if there were only a technology that could show to the dollar of actual money raised from all the taxes, permits, registrations, fees and such that all go to each of the Gov'ment agencies for spending.   ::)

And..........!!!!

An actual real time breakdown of what is spent, and on what...on everything.

Would we be shocked to find that most of the money is NOT spent on what they say they are spending it on?   :icon_scratch:

That’s why there’s a slogan running around that says “Don’t steal, the government hates competition “

It would be so nice to check THE regulation and not guess which/where to look or who to call.  A GPS based app would be amazing.

Only for those who dare melting their brains with those cellular radio phones - they're the devil's playthings, you know.   :banjo:

-Still working on them of further answers regarding this.  I would really like to set up a meeting with whomever is in charge, and knows what is going on, so I(we) can ask these questions face to face.

I'd go with you.

As I stated before I'm cool with improving access. I am pissed that these funds are going to go to "grants" to purchase equipment and "education." Like OSMB doesn't already have money in their general operating budget for boater ed?

Also, what happens if I bought 2-year AIS permit(s) this year? They are just rolling it into the WAF permit I need to buy next year.

HOW is going to have to shell out $165 under the new rules.

What a soup sandwhich.

Like Colin Powell said about the plan for Desert Storm, " First we're going to cut it off. Then we're going to kill it."

Good luck, Oregon, i hope you have a grass roots movement to repeal this and replace the tax and spend morons who shoved this down the public's throat.

Maybe this is where the money will go:

https://www.oregonlive.com/news/2019/08/abandoned-boats-along-portland-waterways-receive-long-awaited-attention.html

The article does say the derelicts are blocking waterway access.

FYI - If you purchased a 2-year AIS permit in 2019 (expiring 12/31/20) you are NOT required to purchase a WAP this year.

$141.75 is what it will cost me this year to fish and crab from my kayak. Ridiculous really.

It is. But everything is stupid expensive anymore. All in on that license fee would buy you about 8 Dungeness crab at Costco. I probably gave away $500 worth crab and ate another $500 myself last year at retail prices. The salmon, lings and rockfish would probably be another $500 out of pocket. Going to the store doesn't get me much exercise unless I ride my bike. Just have to put shit into perspective once in a while.

$141.75 won't even buy you a lift ticket at the 20 most expensive ski areas in North America.

Now that I have stopped skiing nearly as much (since its so dang expensive!) I put everything in perspective of a lift ticket.  When the wife asks why I bought another fishing setup, my response is always, well its still cheaper than a day of skiing and I am going to use it way more than one day!
