@deptrai - yeah conditions do look pretty good now, and are similar to tomorrow's forecast.  I'm tempted to go over there, at least for a taco at B&J's, but I think I'm going to pass.  I just don't want to fight the wind, it gets old fast.

If anybody goes, stay safe and please post a report!

I'll be there are well to give it a try.

I aim to be at the beach around seven and then evaluate the conditions.

I'll have some green and red label herring in my cooler for plan B. In my case probably Nestucca Bay/Nestucca upper tide water. On the web cam from the fly-fishing shop (aimed at the Nestucca boat launch) there was quite some activity visible last week (with boat launches and bank fishermen from the rocks) so it appears like the salmon are in. The web cam has been down the last couple of days.

I had something similar a couple of weeks ago when i arrived at PC, did not like the ocean and changed plans and went to a bay instead (in that case Nehalem Bay)

With the wind pretty strong i will leave my crab trap at home. Just to be able to be off the water quickly when needed. My wife bought range free organic chicken legs. Almost too good for crabbing anyway so we may just as well eat these ourselves:-)

A bit of a drive from PC, but some really good reports coming from Nehalem bay.

Looking at how Saturday's prediction still doesn't know where its at still being in the 65% probability range, the wind and secondary swells are looking to be 90 degrees to the primary swells, and Sunday's forecast looks to be stupid windy in the morning - I personally would find something else to do tomorrow.   :-\

This is a good thing to do.  Even living right on the coast, three minutes from the launch, we always have a back-up plan.
I expected the worst, but it was worse than I expected...

Conditions were indeed poor. The wind was not as bad as predicted but waves were higher.
I arrived at the beach a little later than planned (around 7:25) and just saw a kayaker making his way towards the rock. You MonkeyFist?
After staring at the waves and swells for a few minutes i decided that these were not the conditions for me....Way too choppy...
I ended up trolling the Ghost Hole in Tillamook Bay.
No action for me. I saw or heard of 7 or 8 fish caught (on a total of appr. 40 boats). So there was fish, but the bite was not hot.
