It became clear this weekend that there isn't enough storage or pole holders on my Revo 13.   I think the crate will help greatly giving me a place for my stuff.   Any opinion on the regular vs. the junior?  Is there a another brand people like?

Thanks.

Corey

Are you sold on the hobie crate? The yakattack blackpak is pretty awesome:

I am a bit of a cheapskate and created my own from a crate I got at orchard supply. It's sturdy and has a lid for transport:

I have an extra milk crate you can have.  PM me if you want it.
I bought one if these to slip over my crate.  Has pockets, rod holders, and zipper top.

Thanks for the offers and feedback.  I'll let you know if I'm interested.  I'm currently re-thinking this.   I might just add another rail.  I have a rod holder but my rails are too close the pedals so I end up kicking the pole if I'm not careful.  Adding a rail closer to the seat might solve that problem.   As far as storage goes, I'm thinking some kind of bag to secure under my seat.  Should be enough space to hold my bait and some extra tackle.

Where do you tie that down? Are the attach points on the cover?

I weave the bungies through the handles.

And that is really all you need. I just criss-cross my existing tankwell bungies through the crate. No new fasteners needed.  I have two rod holders fastened in mine with bungies. I keep my tackle in waterproof Plano tackle trays.  Bonus: unless you have a ton of lead in them, those tackle trays float if rolled in the surf.  Quick picture.

I cropped a majority of the distractingly large salmon out of the picture so it wouldn't look like I was bragging. ;)  But seriously, a simple milk crate (mine is a fake one for files from Target) works great and leaves you room for a crab pot on the back. Revo is in the middle.
