It's August 13th!  There's no way in this or any other universe to predict what the weather may be like on Labor Day.
I expected the worst, but it was worse than I expected...

Yes, that is true.  Just trying to drum support in case we get good weather conditions.  Didn't mean to sound any alarms with you.

One thing I can predict with absolute certainty is that that place will be a shit show by the time you get back in from fishing.

Sharks. Big toothy sharks. That has been my September experience at PC.  It may have been later in September*, though.

*Technically, I should say "Septembers" because it was two years in a row.

Did you catch a shark or just see a few?

Zach - no joke I'm so in. I've been looking for someone to do this with for a while. (Mrs. Redbeard is going to take some convincing...) Hit me up if you decide to do this.

We need to plan this!  Shark has been on my list of something to catch for a while.  I used to catch leopards off the piers in California but never have done one from a kayak.

Let's look for an opening soon - reach out if you notice the forecast before I do.

The conditions don't look all that favorable this weekend, and the coast is always a mess throughout the last holiday weekend before school starts. There'll be heavy traffic, little or no parking, and a thousand other boaters, kayakers and surfers will be there, too.  Even way down here, we just lay low and wait for the crowds to clear out.

Nevertheless, I hope you get a chance to go and the fishing is good!

I'm not going either way but just to give my $0.02:

To me the forecast looks marginal at best for Saturday morning. That nearly-west secondary swell might make for a rough landing. Depending on your experience level it could be a very doable, productive day, or it could be miserable. Between that and the aforementioned scene at the launch on a summer holiday weekend I probably would skip it even if I didn't have other plans.
