Anyone like to fish squid from a kayak?  Is it more trouble than it's worth since you can go to piers, etc?

I do but during the day.  You can find them in 50 to 100 ft of water.  Just add a cannon ball weight or a buzz bomb under your squid jigs so it drops quickly into the school. Look for schools near the bottom or even suspended like herring.  If they are present you will get them.  My buddy Todd Switzer wrote this piece in NW Sportsman Mag a couple years ago and Jordan Parker documented a video of us fishing squid.  Enjoy~

Nice video.  Thanks for the info.  They've been really slow or non-existent so far this year.

I definitely wanna try it.  From the above posts I can see that it is doable during the day.  Has anyone ever tried doing it at night?  How would you rig up a light system?
