Anyone else following Tim Niemiers "Swell Watercraft" and watching the super scupper build?
I spent a lot of time on the Scupper Pro last year and it's got me excited to see how the newest evolution turns out.

I'll have to check this out. The Scupper Pro was my first kayak. That thing was an awesome fishing platform and a dream to paddle.

I've been watching his progress online, stoked to see what he comes up with. A narrow, fast, paddling fishing kayak would be a welcome addition to the fleet

I got rid of my Scupper Pro only 4 years ago. Great boat that is easy to manage on and off the water, easy mover, fun to surf, great spearfishing platform... although I didn't like sitting in a puddle of water all day when I stopped diving.

It's good to see that there is some interest and I hope that Niemier finds success with this project.
The timing of this boat was sort of perfect for me. After paddling the scupper pro and speed testing vs other "fast" SOTs, I was planning on purchasing the only slightly different RTM Tempo.
Now Im waiting to paddle the super scupper and then decide which boat is better for me.

Something else regarding this boat that may be of interest.
Swell Watercraft confirmed that there will be attachment points for leg straps.

This is the boat that they were testing.
Looks like there is more volume in the bow and maybe more rocker.
Im not expecting it to feel the same as the old scupper pro but Im hoping that its as fast if not faster.

Their documentation of the build has really started to build some stoke.
Could be watching a legend create his best yet. It was a Niemier boat that was my first SOT and the first boats (Malibu II) that Team Bridgeport first started fishing from in the mid 90s.

Looks like they have addressed the kayak fishing market with a transducer scupper.

Im especially interested in the one way valve scuppers, its speed, and customization offered by Swell watercraft. Oh yes, It comes in Seahawk green!   Just need to find out when and where I can test one.

I had one way scupper plugs on my Old Town Predator. They work, but I wouldn't expect them to keep up with surf over the bow, for instance. Tiny little weep hole. They did keep a lot of water from welling up through the scuppers when my fat ass landed in the seat while boarding.
