Hi guys! New to the kayak fishing scene. Been a huge fan and finally pulled the trigger. Bought a Feelfree Lure 11.5 this summer and it has been a blast! Just bass fishing so far in smaller lakes in the area. Looking forward to venturing out with anyone willing to let me tag along and learn the ropes.

Welcome! I live north of Monroe and work in Redmond. There are lots of us in the area that fish out of kayaks, and lots of us venture out into saltwater chasing salmon and bottomfish. Watch the Washington forum on here and join in on the fun! :)

Welcome, I live in Bothell and has been crabbing in Kayak point and not much else (too busy) this year. Planned to hit more waters next year, especially salmon.

Welcome!  I'm in North Bend and have been fishing all over.  I was just in your neck of the woods yesterday, launching out of Waverly Park to have a go at the Coho, all I got was a perch for my troubles!

Awesome! I can’t to venture out. I can’t believe it too me so long to get a kayak haha After doing so much research and watching videos, there’s so much to do around here. I will definitely keep an eye out for meets so I joined up and meet everyone.

I’m waiting to get my rudder so I can hit bigger water and even the salt.

I'm sure others with more experience will chime in but so far for me it hasn't been an issue.  First is to make sure you are visible, I've got a mango orange Hobie so that helps.  I've also got a flag but haven't used that yet.  The top part of my dry suit is orange as well so that helps too.  You also need to keep a vigilant eye out for waves/swells/wake, some of the bigger boats even at very slow speeds can put out big enough wakes to flip you if you aren't paying attention!
