Hello members and lurkers,
I arrived last Friday and was amazed at the blue sky and picturesque mountains!  I soon found out that this does not happen all the time.  I also dived into your fishing laws and regulations and was confused to say the least.
Coming from Connecticut, and fishing for Three bells outfitters, drove to Florida, found some peacocks and large mouth, headed over to Louisiana for some reds and drum and trout but only to be blown about in 20 mph south winds(bad). Hobie champ, Steve Lessard found me a couple of trout, but I had enough of the winds and headed here.
I am here for school and should be able to fish the weekends with anybody that wants to go.
I have a Hobie 14 pro angler with all the goodies that helped me get to Worlds in Sweden last year. I finished 18th.
The guys at Outdoor Emporium totally helped me out and I managed to catch and release my first fish in Washington today after three days of failing.
See you on the water and if you like, show me around your wonderful waterways! I am in West Seattle and will drive!
Nicholas

The question is EXACTLY how far will you drive! I don’t fish Washington but fish the north Oregon coast.

If you can spare a day to show a guy around, I would be more than happy to fish a new place!

Best online resource for salmon in WA  is Salmon University, check out their website. Did you live in Hawaii? Interesting handle!

I'll check it out. I lived on Guam for a number of years.

We’re lookinv to hit Tillamook bay for crab and bottom fishing on Sunday. Being forcibly retired and never fishing solo, I’m sure I can spare a day or two

I can't be down there Sunday, but I can go the following weekend. There is just not enough hours in a day for me to be back in Seattle for school on Monday.

I hear ya there, tides will be backwards for fishing the Bay. Gotta fish the last couple hours of outbound and low slack.
