I've been paddling just a couple of years and have immersed myself in this hobby.  I post on several other kayak centric forums.

This year I have a new boat to pick up, it's already at the dealer, I just have to schedule a time to pick it up.

While rigging and gear are my short term focus, I understand that it's not gear that catches fish.  After you have equipment that is competent, it's all on YOU to deliver.

I've been a mad fly fisherman for the last decade or more and while I still plan on chasing trout in spring creeks and tributaries wearing waders, this kayak business in skinny water is another tool in the tool box.  I do own a walleye specific motor boat, but I'm having too much fun with kayaks to even get it out.

This year the plan is on chasing the salmon often and this is what brought me to this forum.  I look forward to exchanging ideas with others on this forum.

Welcome to the group. Fly fishing and kayaking go hand and hand.
