I'm looking for a dry suit for my son.  He is 11 years old.   Please let me know if you have something for sale that might work.

Wetsuits are a good option for kids as they outgrow them fast, there way cheaper and the surf ship in seaside used to do trade ups in there rentals (not sure about now) kids are way more resilient then us older folks that are getting frail  :banjo:  now if he’s going out in the ocean in the wintertime then a drysuit is a must, I don’t ocean fish the winter so my wetsuit is just fine for me.

Make sure you get one with room to grow otherwise he'll out grow it within a season or two.  My son's used to be pretty baggy on him when I first got it but within 2 seasons he's grown into it and this maybe the last season for it and I'll have to go bigger (he's almost as big as me now and he's only 13.  Geesh!)

I put my Grandkids in wetsuits and I'm comfortable with that decision.  A dry suit is not a safer alternative, they're just an alternative.

I like what hdpwipmonkey said about his son outgrowing his dry suit in two years.  I don't think many, if any, of us plan to own a dry suit for only a year or two and then run out and replace it if it isn't in tatters.

If he wants to be just like Dad, I get the pressure that puts on you.  When I'm out with the youngest of the Granddaughters, I have to wear my wetsuit, too.  She won't have it any other way.

But do consider a paddle sports wetsuit (they're cut differently) as a viable alternative.
I expected the worst, but it was worse than I expected...

I borrowed a farmer john and dry top from Spot for my daughter.  He says he doesn't need it back.  My daughter is outgrowing the wetsuit already.  It's an XS if I recall correctly.
Will that fit your son?  We can meet up somewhere.

Go to Next Adventure and look.  I picked a used kids Kokatat Drysuit up there a few years ago for a little over $200.  It is too small for my oldest now at 14, but I already loaned it out to someone so it is unavailable. I need to find a used medium for him now.  I was hoping Craigslist would solve my problems, but apparently people think a used drysuit that is four years old is worth almost as much as a new one.

We got my wife (4'10", 90#) a semi-dry suit from Level 6, in size XS.

They are footless, with latex ankle and wrist cuffs, neoprene neck. She wears neoprene socks under Boggs.
