So I purchased the Wheelezz kayak cart. I noticed that it was predrilled for cross supports in fact the wheels came with an order blank if I wanted to order the cross supports. So I build my own with stuff I already had. I have an Outback and I measured the distance between the cross members and it appears to be a perfect fit. It looks like it will just cradle right in between the supports. I have not actually tried it yet but I think it will do great. I decided to use the cart instead of the scrubber holes. Got tired of dumping everything out, so I hope to just lift it on top and strap it down. Really looking forward to getting to less traveled areas with this new cart. I have attached pictures.

That looks like a good upgrade.   I'm going to consider doing that modification to mine.

I find the wheelez cart difficult to use as it comes stock.

I'm surprised you didn't add scupper posts.

Vertical posts that go thru the scupper holes so you won't need to use straps to keep your yak from sliding off.

I find the standard wheelez cart to be the hands down best cart available for solo beach use. The scupper posts are a PIA to do solo or if you have any weight in the back of the boat. Plus you can't slide them forward or backward to balance out the boat so you don't have a ton of weight in your hands.
