I was lucky enough to get one of the orange bags from Hogg's before they closed up the store, then this past spring while driving around my neighborhood I see one for sale at a garage sale.  Brand new, never used and the best part... I only paid $40 for it!  I love garage sales!

I then went to the store and bought a scratch off ticket but I guess I used all my luck on finding that bag, I didn't win anything.

Now I need to finish the Insayn mod on them.

I know a guy in Missoula who has an industrial sewing machine and makes gear out of dry bag material.  Maybe I'll hire him to make me a bag like the famous triangular bags.  It would be helpful if somebody would post some close-up pictures showing details of the construction of the triangular bags.

Bummer that those triangular bags aren't being made any more. I am jealous every time I see one. As for the IceMule bags, it's surprising to me that folks on the forum have had luck with them. I got one last year and the inside liner tore after a couple of uses. They replaced it no problem and the inside liner tore after the very first use on the second bag. Luckily, they agreed to refund my money rather than making me have to deal with more useless replacements. Once the liner tears, it becomes impossible to clean and no longer insulates your catch. The weight of a couple of salmon and some ice was enough to tear the liners both times; no rockfish spines required.
I was lucky enough to take home a KoldZone catch bag from the TBMD tourney this year and though the dimensions aren't perfect for kayak fishing, it is a very durable bag with a sturdy zipper and seems impervious to spines.

I will have to take a look at these.  I have not purchased an Icemule but was looking into one.

Thanks for the feedback!

Wilderness pack specialties will make a custom bag - to your exact triangular dimensions if you so desire. They have done numerous custom fish boxes/bags on power boats. Outstanding quality!

I own a 40" long WPS bag that has a 10" gusset bottom, top zip, 1/2" insulated, white PVC outside, with a drain plug. It's just a little too big for my revo 11 back tankwell, but it would hold probably 8 salmon.  I own it for transport of whole iced tuna in my Prius. Purchased at an auction for $80.
