While I typically ignore all instructions when opening packages, this caught my eye and I wondered if anyone has tried it.  Obviously jigs work for jigging and casting, just wondering if anyone has tried trolling one behind a flasher, dodger or diver?
Sorry, sometimes they just seem to want to go sideways.  It just says tie off at least 18 inches to produce an erratic swimming action...

Not sure about the wilson dart but the crippled herring definitely has some decent action on the troll.

Trolling Point Wilson Darts isn't just for around Pt. Wilson.

They troll well anywhere . Ocean-- I can only say from personal experience that I've had limited success with them. Mainly because there are so many other 'bait' options .  Puget Sound--- just a big lake and /or a big river, right ?----- Colombia River ,very good hook-up to time trolled ratio. As effective as trolling herring/anchovies ? No-----but a pretty close 2nd in Cop car and Seahawk colors.
I'll usually pull 'em 24 to 34 inches behind a sliding weight . Rarely do I feel a flasher is needed. That's just more junk between you and a fish . Why mess with unnecessary crap ? Though people with more money to throw away than me might argue. I've tried a lot of different bells and whistles in my life---- now I find them to be a waste of time and money.
I say--------try 'em if you got 'em. You might just find your own 'go to ' lure.
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

Thanks. I was thinking about trolling back to the start after a long drift with the current. Using a sliding weight is a quick option to stay in the zone longer and a quick remove at the other end. Will give it a shot.
