My Dad passed away last Thursday. He was passionate about hunting and fishing. After a long couple weeks Away from home I arrived back home last night. This morning I decided to go fishing. After about an hour of trolling one of my rods started peeling line off. I grabbed my rod and held on for the sleigh ride. The fish damn near spoiled me and I thought I was done and all of a sudden my reel falls completely off my rod into the kayak. I knew I was screwed. I put the reel back on the rod, start reeling and the fish is still on. I got it in and netted it. I don't know how I didn't lose the fish. This fish is for my Dad!

When good equipment goes bad >:( Sounds and looks like you made the best of it. Also seems like your dad may have been there helping out.  :angel7: Sorry for your loss.

Mike you've got it dialed in up there! Great job on a quality fish in memoriam. I wish I had time to head up there and fish with you.

I'm sorry for your loss. I'm sure losing a parent is a very difficult time.
