Anybody going to target sturgeon tomorrow on the lower Columbia? Being that salmon is closed, what else is a guy to do. The slot window is 44-50 inches. Going to be tough to find that keeper fish but I sure as hell will try. My plan is to put in at Rooster Rock and fish that general area. Find some areas to drop lines and plunk. Unless anyone else is going out with a better idea! Reply here or send me a PM.

Last weekend there were so many boats out and anchored it was a zoo.  Barges were blowing their horns and boats would not move.  It is too bad the ocean sucks tomorrow.

I have fished Rooster Rock several times. It is a great launch and landing when the tide is high, or the water levels are up.  But I have had the horrible surprise of having to drag the kayak back through 1/4 mile of mud more than once due to the river dropping while I was fishing.  Good luck out there.

Also, sturgeon taste really good.
