Welcome!  The water kills up here, so be safe.  Different waters up here have their own risks (weather, tides, currents), but it's all cold.  Do your homework before you go.  I hope to see you out there (if I can ever find the time to get my Tupperware salty).

Some of the best fishing this area has to offer is just getting under way.  Should be some amazing opportunities between now and the end of October.

Halibut will be near shore picking off pink salmon.  Later they will hang out to feed on the dead salmon flushing out of the streams.

Coho salmon are aggressive that if you can find them, they are easy and a blast!  Keep an eye out for information on both Seward and Valdez  Labor day can be awesome IF the fish are in.  They seem a little late this year. Valdez a few years back: 

Sept and Oct can be amazing months for HUGE rainbows on the Kenai River upt o 30+ inches!  I haven't caught one that big but here is an idea:

And finally, though it seems like there are a lot fewer kings this year in the saltwater, Sept and OCt are prime time for feeder Kings in Homer.  Look through Sept and OCT on my youtube channels and you get a feel for what the action might be.
