Hi All -

Back from Korea, should be around a couple of weeks, so I am starting to inventory my gear and charge batteries etc.

Have not had time to catch up on the forum, but wanted send a shout out to all and see who’s planning to hit the homer or whiskey gulch area in the next two weeks.   I am feeling the urge to fish !

Also - if anyone needs a basically new 60”x74” RV queen spring mattress about 8” thick let me know.   I upgraded it was a bit soft for me.

Hope the spring tides are treating you all well !

Hey welcome back. I see you survived all the nuclear testing this past winter. You haven't missed anything yet. Halibut are IN but weather has been a factor. Kings are running late although yesterday saw some changes in some of the fisheries so the fish are moving along the beaches now.

Here is a photo of the Anchor Point Tractor Launch at 2:28PM today. Pretty nice other than some rain drops and clouds.

Reds have hit the Resurrection Bay. Cost Recovery Seiners have harvested over 10,000 in the last three days. The sportie snaggers were packing 2+ fish per person off the flats on Sunday. So that is an option for you that is closer and the run is just beginning. CIAA is expecting, based on their stocking numbers, 199,000 sockeye returning to the head of the bay. NO TYPO!  ;D

LOL - awesome.   I think I can still swing a snagging stick, though I prefer something a bit more subtle.... I could use a smoker load or two of sockeyes.

Will be watching the offshore Peninsula weather as I get my gear out of storage and respool some line.   I think I had the good sense to replace my drag bearings on at least two reels so they went in freshly maintained and GTG for the kayak halibut season.

Tight Lines !
