I have been reading about and getting really excited hearing about the sockeye fishery at Baker Lake.  Has anyone done this from a kayak?  How feasible is it?  Would someone be willing to show me the ropes?  I have a scotty lake troller so I think I could do this in theory.

There is likely to be a small flotilla out there. I,ve used anorange k-9 flatfish with a single hook and trailer hook a few inches back. Some trail a bare black or red gomagotsu hook and do well.  You might give it a squirt of smell. Others use the kitchen sink. Slow speed is typically required. I can’t come up but wouldn’t hesitate to go solo pending decent weather. If you have a FF and spot the schools, getter done. When they come in from the salt they are pretty slimy, but darn good eating. Not sure about the Baker run. The ones I’ve caught have hit hard. I used a Scotty squeeze release clipped to the CB but extend a line out about 3 feet. When you since down you’ll pull the release up at a good angle which will help you see a light hit. Good luck.
