Thanks everyone! DTS you can buy planks at Freddys. They come 2 in a package for like 5 bucks. The planks are long enough for a good sized salmon filet so i usually cut them in half and have enough for 4 uses. Not sure of the thickness exactly but they aren't very thick. I'd say half inch or less.

If you are inclined and have the tools you can also make your own. I have a decent stash of cedar, alder, several different fruit woods and my favorite vine maple.
