Hey CBY,  I'm in.  Looks like I'll have the weekend off so that simplifies thing a bit.  Sounds like fun and I'm looking forward to it.

For anybody who wants to give the ocean a try, Sunset Bay is about the sweetest "surf launch" you are gonna find.  Sunset Bay State Park is just across the road and when I stayed there was a very nice place to camp.

I'll hit you up for a tent site Roy, and will bring some jigs to trade.  I can also bring a load of fire wood if needed.  Any potential sponsors will be sent your way too.  I gotta win something at one of these things sooner or later!  Thanks Roy!

Just a quick update. Got some decent prizes, mostly fishing poles and gear but do have some more sponsors interested for next year. we will have way to much beer(NINKASI keg) which  is better then not enough beer. It's gonna be a great time. Wheres all the portland crew?!?

the participant list is growing, sure we will have way more then last year. Hope the conditions finally cooperate.

I'd love to make it but I think my wife's birthday party is the same day. Possible she might move it though. Fingers crossed!

Tell her the fishing tourney is in celebration of her life and bring her with.  We can make a fake flyer so she believes it. She can be a judge.  Or, she can just drink beer while we are fishing.

Put me down as probable. I have a niece in CB, so my wife is cool with going down and visiting with her.

Of course, whenever I say anything about getting our yak near saltwater, Mary thinks it is a ploy to get her to go out on the salt, which she resists. Even when the webcam this morning shows Sunset Bay looking like a lake...

Glad to meet ya cowboy, look forward to seeing you there.

Hope to see you there too sherminator. What is here resistance to hitting the salt? If it's a surf lauch, no worries, NOT a surf lauch unless you count inches as surf.
See ya on the water..

Hey Paul,
I talked to Dave at Mazama's Fishing shop (a week ago) and he committed to donating some prizes.  He said he'll put together some stuff in the next week and either you or I can pick it up.  The shop I'm working at is a couple of blocks away from Mazama's so it'll be easier for me.
