BB slice 230cm.  Does anyone think that upgrading to carbon is a must have?  If so please give me some suggestions on brand/model.

I have 2 Werner Camano paddles.  One is an older fiberglass model with the blue shaft and creme blades.  The other (which has become my primary) was the carbon shaft with (I assume fiberglass) orange blades that I won at ORC.

Two Werner Camanos ... one 240 one 230 small shaft for the SLF. Just picked up a Werner Shanu 230 too.

Carlisle Magic....both of my paddles.
 as mentioned above, I use it as an all around tool as well. Picking up trash, poling through the shallows ( when I forget my walking stick), pushing off the rocks etc.
 I just can't bring mice elf to spend more on a paddle than $70- $100.
