I’ve been dormant for a couple years but I’m going hard this year. Is the Alaska kayak fishing community still out there ? A few years ago we had the yearly yak classic and good camp fires and a fun group of guys and gals. I would love to have that community and social gatherings again and whacking big halibut and kings and whatever else will bite. Let me know if your still out there🤘🏻 Planning on breaking in 2023 this Saturday in homer, weather permitting it’s a good time of year for cod kings and there is always a few chickens around. Hopefully see some of you there! I’m the fat guy in a green dry suit and a now blue (old red is gone) outback 🤘🏻 Tight lines everybody

Some years ago there were some Alaska kayak anglers who did a lot of posting on this forum. Their trip descriptions and videos were fun, and made me jealous. I miss their posts, and wish they would start posting again.

Hey man! Im here, stationed up in JBER and the Army keeps me pretty busy, but I plan on trying to make 1-2 fishing trips down south this summer to WG to hopefully get some white meat in the freezer. Hopefully we can link up some time!

From yesterdays trip. Jake got a nice one. I lost one really nice one at the kayak trying to untangle my harpoon and buoy. Great day on the water though!

Recently moved up to Juneau from OR. I'm fishing the terminal kings now, nothing worth a pic yet. But maybe tomorrow morning! I'm gonna post more to see if I can get more of a conversation going here in the SE. It was extremely helpful how many folks posted in Oregon. I've been missing that here.
