STUFFED JALAPENOS

12 JALAPENO PEPPERS (CORED)

1 PACKAGE CREAM CHEESE

½ CUP CHOPPED SMOKED SALMON

1 TABLESPOON LEMON JUICE

1 TEASPOON WORCESTIRE SUACE

1 TEASPOON CIDER VINEGAR

½ CUP SHREDDED CHEDDAR CHEESE

1 CLOVE GARLIC FINELY MINCED OR 1 TEASPOON GARLIC POWDER

 
COMBINE ALL INGREDIENTS AND MIX WELL
STUFF INTO PEPPERS AND PLACE IN PEPPER COOKING RACK
COOK ON GRILL PREHEATED TO 400-450 UNTIL HEATED THROUGH OR COOK IN OVEN.

 OPTIONAL- AFTER STUFFING PEPPERS, WRAP WITH A HALF PIECE OF BACON AND SECURE WITH A TOOTHPICK. AND COOK UNTIL BACON IS DONE.

Sounds yummy!

Only changes I might make would be to drop the cheddar, cut the peppers in half lengthwise, and pre-cook the bacon about half way so the peppers aren't overdone by the time the bacon is cooked (also reduces the fat that cooks off).

Would it be a major faux pas if I cored then split them, put the stuffing in them, and wrapped it with bacon? Maybe I will try both side by side. :)
