If you have access to a new Revo 16 and wouldn't mind snapping a few pics and taking a couple measurements for me, please let me know.

I have one of these on the way to Alaska, but it won't be here until sometime in March. I'm looking for some photographs and measurements to help me plan my rigging. One of the things I'm thinking about is a downrigger swing mount that would tie into the ama mounting points.

The pictures of Revos online show a lot of minor differences that occur from year to year, and unfortunately I am interested in these minutia. I can't find any photos that give the model year of the boat in the photo. Austin Canoe & Kayak's website shows photos of two different model years.

Thanks!

It was my understanding the Revolution 16 doesn't have pre-installed attachments for the ama kit. This would be unfortunate, because I love mounting to the threaded inserts of my 2011 Adventure. Found this link.

The Hobie forum post you linked to is from 2014.  So far the best pictures I can find are on ACK's website.  The photo of the yellow Revo (top and side view) shows no threaded inserts for amas, yes dagger board slot, no port side paddle stowage, rudder up/down pulleys mounted in the foot rest area.  The tan Revo shows yes threaded inserts for amas, no dagger board slot, yes port side paddle stowage, rudder up/down pulleys mounted just behind the forward hatch.  I *think* the yellow boat is a 2014 and the tan boat is a 2015, but I'm not sure.  And I don't think either of them are a 2016 because I've been staring at those pictures since October.

None of them are pre-2015 because they all have the CT Vantage seating.
I expected the worst, but it was worse than I expected...

Those pics on Austin kayak website are definitely contradictory. In 2014 it was an Adventure 16 with old seat and ama attachments. In 2015 it became Revolution 16 with vantage seat and no ama attachments, which is likely why the name change. For 2016 I believe it is unchanged.
Interestingly if you compare the 2016 revolution 16 to the 2016 Adventure Island, they are different kayaks. Might not be interchangeable anymore without modification.
I guess you will know for sure in March.

If the Vantage CT seat change hit the Revo line-up in 2015, then ACK must have photos of a 2015 and a 2016.  Maybe Hobie brought back the ama attachments and left-side paddle due to popular demand?
