Don (dannybay) and I headed to Florida for a week of relaxing and fishing.  Our resort has a lake behind it called Lake Bryan.  It has lots of wild things and during Don's evening fishing sessions, he landed at least 5 decent bass a day and then he hooked this big fat  Florida gar.  The lure he used is 3" long so we figure the gar was about 18-21".  He did most of his fishing from the docks but in years past, he has used the resorts kayak to grab some bass too.

Cool - that's an awesome looking fish. Any peacock bass? Those are on my bucket list.
