On the jet ski the center of gravity was much higher that it felt like it wouldn't take much to lose your balance while fighting a fish and go in the drink.
;D  You'd get used to it.   Betcha you'd get used to standing and fighting the fish, even in less-than-ideal seas!   Only time I ever went off the boat was when I either went around a turn a tad too fast or I made "incidental"  :police: contact with another similarly fast moving object (yes, I wore a helmet at all times on the race boat, and so would my passenger).
