Too rough to dive in Monterey right now so...took advantage of an invite from my buddies Jeff and Martin to go out on Jeff's boat for the Salmon Opener here in Monterey.

I've never caught a salmon (had a chance to spear one once but of course didn't) so didn't have high expectations and was just looking forward to hanging with good guys, being on the ocean and drinking some beer.

Well, we got the good times and beer, AND three beautiful fish, AND I got to reel in my very first Salmon!!   :o

The bigger one was enough to win a bet Jeff had with some other captains so he ended up with $400 in his pocket as well.  8)

Took home one huge filet, and the carcasses/collars/heads cuz the other guys weren't planning on eating them...gorged Saturday, Sunday, Monday and still have cooked carcasses and heads to eat for at least lunch and dinner today.

Here's some porn.

 :)

Sincerely,

Jim
