Hey all,

I’m a longtime spearfisherman and occasional kayak angler who just relocated to Happy Valley. Looking forward to connecting with like-minded folks up here and getting on the water. I’m especially looking to connect with any freedivers in need of dive buddies. I’m PFI Level 1 certified and am comfortable hunting to around 60ft, although most of my hunting lately has been 35ft and shallower because that’s where the fish tended to be back home. I’ve been at this for a little over 10 years and have plenty of experience on the water (PADI Advanced and Rescue certified, and formerly AAUS Scientific Diver certified for school/work).

Other interests include hunting (mostly ducks, occasional upland, and recently picked up bow hunting) and foraging for weird invertebrates in the intertidal. Most of my hobbies are based on food…

Still getting to know the area, but hopefully I’ll have some good fish reports to post before too long.

Welcome to the NWKA scorpaenichthys.  I like that you mentioned "other interests" as bowhunting puts a huge kink on my fishing come September...  Love to chase bugling elk in the Fall.  Got my grandkids elk calls last Christmas to help them move from making sounds like a dying elephant to a real elk (did not make me popular with my daughter-in-law).   ;)
