Hello NWKA! I recently purchased my first kayak, a new Hobie Compass :) I have been breaking it in with my good friends Roger and Pepper at Siltcoos lake. We have been friends and fishing together for many years and after lurking around here and seeing all the cool posts i finally jumped the gun and ditched the toon for the Hobie, I absolutely love it!! Looking forward to learning and hopefully contributing to NWKA!

Welcome!  When SD2OR moves here we should do an outing at Hills Creek Reservoir for holdover trout. Easy launch and great water for kayaking.

Thanks for the invite! That sounds great. I know you were out on Siiltcoos yesterday but I didn’t run into your group. I’ve fished with Cameron a couple of times, look forward to it!

Yeah, I'll be moving to Eugene in the next month or so, and look forward to fishing with the members down there, and trying new bodies of water. I'll let you all know when I'm settled and ready to fish!
A day without fishing probably wouldn't kill me,
but why risk it?

Welcome to the NWKA hobster.  I had an opportunity to try out a Hobie compass in San Diego Bay fishing for halibut and bass.  Nice platform.

Yeah I absolutely love it. The mirage drive is so cool and it’s light enough to easily get it on my roof rack. Thanks for the warm welcome guys
