My wife and I made a weekend getaway to the coast. Government Point is not looking very kayak friendly today!

The inner area of Depoe Bay is a little rough as well.

Just gotta time the swells. Pedal real fast out to 100 ft and you'll be fine  ;).

Saw on MSW,  that the swell off Lincoln city a week or so ago was something  like 30'. That's sporty, but doable, right?
A day without fishing probably wouldn't kill me,
but why risk it?

MSW is surprisingly accurate.
I live just north of Fogarty and I have the good fortune of looking at the water as much as I’d like. That 28-30’ day last week was awesome. The break was probably 600-800 yards out and big enough that I’m sure that a kayak would be stem-stern vertical on well over half of the waves.
I suppose that is “sporty” for some. Sometimes I prefer being on the beach.
 ;)
