Hello!

I am a PNW boy born & raised & have lived in the area most of my life except for a brief stint in Nashville for university.

Never had the privilege of fishing or boating much when I was a kid but recently took up kayaking & fishing as an adult so i've been learning a lot. Other than kayaking, I enjoy being a shade tree mechanic and all around tech/computer guy. I have some experience with powerboats but this is my first foray into yakking.

I set my username as "paddlefever" since this is what my wife has started calling this most recent hobby of mine...  ;D

So far I have a lifetime kayak that I've done few mods on since i purchased it in December. Current obsession is trolling for Trout & Kokanee in the south sound area (american lake, alder, tapps etc...)

Eager to learn more about this rewarding hobby!

Thank God, someone else who doesn't pedal.  Glad to have you here.  Have fun in the forum.
Everything will be all right in the end, so if it's not all right, then it's not yet the end.

Yes, want to stay paddle style to keep costs down. May add a motor for trolling someday, but for now the workout is good!

Recently picked up a Bending Branches Whisper from REI on sale, that helped a LOT compared to the paddle pictured

Tried a Hobie for a while and it didn't work for me.  Entirely a personal preference.  I fished too often in smaller waters where I would spend the day casting, so boat control was important.
Everything will be all right in the end, so if it's not all right, then it's not yet the end.
