I snagged a piece of wood during the Next Adventure HOW Bass Classic and the way I snagged it made it feel like a fish was on at first.  The current was imparting an action on it that felt kind of like a sturgeon.  But, as I was getting it closer to the top, it felt more like river debris.  Anyways, here is my valuable lesson too you all:

Yikes.  I'm pretty sure you used up all your karma points for a while on that one.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.  --Mark Twain

At least you didn't fight it for two hours and profess that the biggest fish of your life broke off before you could even see color.

Two-fish one-hook not enough? Had to go for three-fingers one-hook?

This is what happens when you start winning all the tournaments, nothing is ever good enough.  ;)
My wife thinks fishing is merely guys wandering around like idiots swinging sticks in the air. Many of my trips prove how smart she really is.

Something like that happened this last week while i was visiting family in Iowa.  I netted a 3-lb Northern for my dad, brought it in the boat, my dog came up to investigate this large fish, the fish shook, and the crankbait shot up withthe loaded rod, my dog yelped.  Turns out one hook went through her eyelid, we were very lucky that she didnt lose her eye.  She stood by calmly as we cut the barb, and pulled it through, with a lessone learned by her, i think she will be scared of big fish from now on.  A close one for sure

This is when it was painful. The 1 inch tuna hook was caught on some flotsam and Angler one jerked hard on the pole. Being agile and quick of mind he ducked as the weighted projectile went whizzing by. Angler two standing behind him caught the hook just under the jaw bone. If you look closely you can see the plastic bait hanging from the hook.

The captain pulled it out in one swift gut wrenching yank. We fished the rest of the day. Angler one was banished to the bow of the boat.

As I watched the video in horror, it brought back a memory from back home of a 5lb grouper that I had caught on a yozuri lux minnow and the rod was loaded when I reach for the lure and she started flailing. I ended up with one of the hooks from the treble going through the my thumb deep enough to see it under the my nail. I wish I had picture of it, the only picture I did have hangs in the local fishing store back on Guam along with pictures of other idiots that have pictures of the stupid things they did while fishing. I actually have 2 pictures, the other I have a hook stuck in my right eyebrow.

You should have left it there.  You'd be stylish these days with a body piercing like that.
