Snuck down to New Orleans last weekend 3/15 (actually Fourchon) for the Bayou Coast Kayak Fishing Clubs fifth Paddlepaloosa.
Had a great time and caught some nice fish but only a couple on the right day. (took 2nd place flounder) Guess I really do need to change my nick to "soleman". Caught a really nice slot Redfish, then let it flop out on me. I screamed and cussed for at least half an hour and spooked the rest of the school that were in the hole. Oh well, thats fishing. Maybe next year we can bring get a formal contingent from the great Pacific Northwest to represent.

Here's a link to some better reports and pics.

I should have blurred the background because this is Da Spot. ;)
Note the dearth of fish. :::)

Nice; but fishin' in shorts? ??? I've still got snow in my yard and the lakes are still frozen.

Now that you're a pro kayak fisherman you need some sponsors and a wrap for your transport. ;D

At 1.01 lbs, his second place flounder might actually be in one of his photos already and we just can't see it.

Nice job Wali.  We just need to get you an NWKA sticker or two on you kayak so people know where you're coming from.

Pics of fish AND me at the same time? Hmmm, what a concept!

Pisco: Hey man, I did my best not to tease y'all by wearing my waders but nobody else would go along.  ;D

Doing well? These guys swear they invented it! Sometimes I feel obligated to remind them that kayak fishing is a Great Pacific Northwest invention!!  (Inuit ;D )
