If you read all the posts in the outdoorsdirectory they have picked up some even in front of the sea life center already this year.

That's great news with last year being such a dud. I plan on at least one trip to Seward late July/early august.

I'll be down there for a week starting Saturday, won't likely be in the kayak, but I'll post success or failure regardless.

I won't be able to hit Seward until AUG 7th at the earliest... but I DO plan to go down and paddle out to Derby Cove and the Tonsina Creek delta and see if I can find a school !
I'll post a thread or repost here as we get closer ... I so LOVE catching silvers from kayak !

Got silvers mooching the head of the bay in a PB last week. Marked a lot of fish closer in, but no strikes.

I'll be launching from Lowell Point Thursday and Friday (8/3 and 8/4) -- looking for silver. Will update the thread if there's much to report.

We got on on the south side of Caines Head last weekend. Purple-silver salmon slayer. Got it on slack high tide. Otherwise.....well.....it was a great kayak trip along the coast!
