Pops bought 2 new duracell ultra durdc12-35j 12 volt 35ah agm battery from batteries plus and had me install them on his scooter, about a week or two later the VA sent out a tec (outsource company to remain unnamed) to check why his scooter kept stalling out. Tec first off did not know how to use a multi-meter… no shit… pops had to show him, only checked that the batteries were at 12 volts, nothing more, which they were, then processed to claim that Duracell batteries are not covered under the warranty and that’s why it was stalling (I guarantee you BS) and proceeds to put two new cheap batteries on it and leaves….. without even a test drive…. the thing crapped out 20 yards away from the driveway while the guy was driving off!!
Well they were installed so he can’t return them, his loss your gain, he paid $109 a piece and will sell them for $75 each, pick up in Tillamook or catch me if I’m in the valley, likely way too expensive to mail.

No the first idiot Tec they sent out, didn’t know how to use a multimeter, pops had to show him, it has a motor going out periodically stalls. The jackass tells him the 2 brand new Duracell batteries he bought and I installed are what was causing the issue. He puts 2 cheap azz chinesium batteries in it and said it’s fixed, no test drive. Funny thing is right after he left before he was even at the end of the block the damn thing stalled, pops calls the guys cell……. Jerk didn’t answer even though he was stopped at the stop sign, worst part he was talking to pops while driving there. They were told to come back out by the VA called to make an appointment, left pops a vm and never answered when he called back and didn’t return his call.
 VA has the report and are sending out a company from Portland, if they can’t fix it on the spot they’re taking it back to their shop. Bonus is the light weight chair he bought to fly and fits in the Corolla fir Portland appointments……. Got added to his list of equipment the VA will repair.
