Help! Ocean kayak question

snopro:
What is the difference between a 15'-4.5" prowler and a 15'-7.5" prowler?

Yeah I know, duh 3 inches.  Are there other differences (model year, construction, cockpit configurations, hull shape, rudder mount)?

Thanks for the help.  I know there are a few OK pros in residence.

The 15' 4.5" Prowler is the older standard Prowler 15.

The 15' 7.5" Prowler is the newer Prowler Trident 15.

The newer Trident 15 has a few new features like the "rod pod" and "sonar shield" as well as a slightly wider haul.  I have not had a good chance to paddle both enough to compare them, but Allen "Polepole" has.  Maybe he'll chime in.

snopro:
Thanks.  I was wondering if that was the case.  I think the site I was looking at posted the wrong image to go with the specs of the 15' 7.5", it looked identical to the 4.5".

bsteves:
Just curious, why did/do you refer to them by the number of inches past 15 ft instead of there official names?

polepole:
In case you really want to be confused, there is an OK Elite 4.5, which is a New Zealand version of the P13 stretched to ~15 feet.
