Nice video and congratulations!

Looks like they were feeding right on top. I drug that same exact setup in front of a herring/helmet up by meadow point for three hours and never got bit...how fast were you trolling?

Way to photo bomb jerk!! Edit credits to show cameo by Lee  ;)

I'm glad Lee pointed that out, because it's a tactic that's pay'd he, NWnoob, and I dividends this season. If your buddy hooks up try to troll the general area where they hooked up ASAP. You both need to be mindful of where the hooked fish is to avoid crossing lines though. If you've got a hot fish working your drag, a line counting reel is nice to have for keeping tabs on it.

Thanks! It got really hot there for a few min! NWnoob was first to hook up, and it was definitely a game winner. Too bad it came unbuttoned... Yeah, there were a few fish working the surface. They would come and go so fast and with so much distance between us (most of the time) that they were tough to capitalize on. I did manage a 12-14" shaker from one surfacing school though. There was a lot of bait congregating on that grass covered tide rip you can see behind me. Aside from the tiny shaker all the hook-ups came right on the edge of that rip.

Troll speed was 3mph plus or minus .2
