I went to Hagg for about 2hrs today. It was quite windy and had some rain. I caught two nice 16” or so fish. It was my first trip with my new trigger spoon jr’s and it was what produced both fish. This is my 2nd trip with the Garmin striker. Is the amount of junk in the picture normal or do I need to optimize my setup? I can definitely see some fish, but there is always a lot of junk and I find the 200hz useless because it’s even worse. I have the gain set at auto medium because I don’t see much at low and way too much at high. - Dusty

Not sure why the picture is 90 degrees out. Here is one of the fish.

Congrats on the fish and the new FF.  You're settings look ok to me.

Notice the wide mark at 17 feet?  That's probably the thermocline and it's great your FF is showing it to you.  All the action is taking place above, the "junk" you mentioned.  Not much going on underneath it this time of year.  That will change as we move into Summer.  If your whole screen was covered in "junk" to the point you couldn't discern any fish, or totally blank, then I might fiddle with settings a bit.

Thanks for the reply’s and pointing out that was the thermocline. I didn’t think about that.
