I don't know when, but I'll probably be down there sometime this weekend. The marine forecast for Saturday is currently good. Of course, that is likely to change multiple times before Saturday.

I'll probably be there Sunday and maybe Monday. I'm planning on spending a better part of the week at Stariski.

See you there.

Water was glassy today at the Gulch. I wasn't fishing, it just looked really nice. Hopefully will be similar tomorrow.

Got out fishing July 3rd. Sounds like fishing was pretty slow in the in the shallow water. I talked to several drift boats and all said it was slow. I did see them cleaning fish at the end of the day though. I ended up fishing with Korean Angler (aka Dan). I had one bite, caught one fish (probably around 18 pounds), and went home before the tide changed. I was looking for a fresh fish for dinner. Wanted to get back as quick as possible as we then went to Homer and toured Bear Creek Winery and the new brewery. Fun day all around.

(The water was calm on the 3rd. No wind. A little swell. I got complacent coming in and nearly rolled it  in in the surf. That would have been the worst calm water crash possible. Moral of the story, pay attention at all times on the water, especially when launching and landing.)

I'm hoping we can continue with some calm water for a while. I'm planning a heavy effort for 2nd run kings between now and the Barbie event.
