I'm brand new to the sport of kayaking, I'm from Colorado, and have posted a couple of times on here. Just found this column. Have never seen a column on safety on any other board. Lots of the boards talk about it in different areas but you guys seem tohave recognized the importance. Maybe it's because of the cold water. But whatever was the driving force, you are to be commended!

Can't tell you how helpful this subject has been.

I suggested that Colorado Kayak Fishing start a column on safety.

Thanks Again.

We separated that out recently as it started becoming the topic of many conversations.  At some point I'll have to go dig through the older posts and move them here for "completeness".

This forum has done a great job recognizing the importance of safety.  Thanks guys/gals.

It is a subject that needed a lot of attention but wasn't really something people wanted to talk about all the time. I mean, we like to do dangerous stuff, that's why we kayak fish!! Still good to round it out and keep us all safe. Glad you like it and thanks for contributing.
