Hello,
Middle Aged. Beaverton Oregon.
NuCanoe Frontier 12
Have had a lot of success with Kokanee. Have had little success with chinook.
Awesome.

Welcome, nice to see a fellow Beaverton angler on this site. What areas do you typically fish Kokanee?
-
Hello from Aloha. Nehalem Bay (launching at Wheeler) or Tillamook Bay's Ghost Hole (accessible from near the fish cleaning station in Garibaldi) are both popular, easy launches for access to fall chinook.
From what I hear and recall, those usually heat up in mid-September. Odds are I'll try to make it out to one of those spots next weekend.
-
Go to the Nehalem ASAP 😉 if you want to get your salmon on.
-
Whereabouts in the bay have they been—lower by the neck or upper near the river?
-
They been trolling all the way up to Nehalem

Hey Whats up!
I'm also in Beaverton
Intermediate to kayak fishing, but comfortable on the water.
Mostly targeted trout, bass & Bottom fish. Not yet Kokanee.
My vessel is a Stealth Fusion 480
My goal is to get good enough to take it up to Olympic National Park and fish the strait for Hali
Love all the chinook advice!
So stoked to get out ;D

Welcome to NWKA, I also fish sometimes from a Nucanoe 12, older model that inspired the Frontier. Very stable fishing platform for gear fishing fly fishing (stable enough to stand on it), crabbing etc. Lots of information on NWKA, about fishing, gear, safety etc. Enjoy!

Welcome!! Another bra very on kayaker here. Let me know if I can help in any way.

Welcome to the NWKA DoctahBob. Good place to interact with other kayak fishers.
