Wow! That's a beast...big fish, too. ;-)

You have to notice the picture has me pretty much "blacked out". And I think that was the best pic I had of that trout. I really do know better about lighting, posing, and framing.
   Oh well
Yeah. pretty good tussle Rory. Was using a 5' Lamiglass ultralite with a little Shimano spinning reel and 4 lbs test Maxima. Lots of fun
Not good enough Mark anyone that's fish with ya recognizes ya nice try at the ananimity thing though.

Holy Moly!  Nice!  Lake Aberdeen?  Never even once saw it in the 4 yeas I lived down there.  lol.  Dang!

As a matter of fact------ it was Lake Aberdeen. Just left of the boat launch by the dam. Found a bunch of "planters" by the old pipeline. It was a nice way to end the day.

I am surprised someone dug this up from a few years ago...........

  Good guess Rudy.
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

Better to have a nice fish than a nice picture.  I wish every time I made that one last catch I came back with a trout like yours.  Nicely done.
I expected the worst, but it was worse than I expected...
