Hello, guys, I selling my hobie mirage classic. I got the Kayak about 3 years ago thinking I'd go for salmon fishing at ghost hole. But so far, I only made it out to Tillamook bay once, and a handful of times to Hagg lake. Restricted by my work schedule, I'd like to find a new home the kayak.
This kayak is the 1st hobie with mirage drive. If I have to find an analogy to current models, I'd said this one is somewhat like revo13. The kayak gears towards light and fast, but doesn't have a lot of storage space. The boat weights about 50lb and is rated for 250lb, it might be the lightest hardshell with mirage drive.
The kayak has been stored indoor, I am asking for $950, or obo.
Over the years, I've made some modifications to facilitate fishing:
- Installed a lawrance Elite 3X fish finder with hobie through hull wiring kit
- added a 6 inch center hatch for hull access, and also tackle storage
- installed 2 flush mound rod holders on the rear basket cover to hold rods
- Installed a scotty rod holder in the front for trolling
- added a handle on one side to help with grab
- Installed hobie cross bar, and DIY'd 2 outrigger for sitatuions where increased secondary stability is desirable
- Made a rudimentary milk crate
- fashioned a supper hole trolly to help move the kayak
- I will also throw in a rocket launcher style rod holder
p.s. mirage drive is not in the picture, but IS included

Hey cool boat! My first hobie was a classic and I had a lot of fun fishing out of it. It's a pretty quick boat, and might actually be a little faster than a revo in a sprint. Cool crate design too!
